Well, I've been planning on joining this place for quite a while, and I finally did. For those of you who don't know me, I'm John Doe, but you can call me JD, or Hal.

Also for those of you who don't know me (and quite a few people who *do* know me) I'm not a regular artist. In fact, you could say I don't even draw... more like I write.

I'm a word artist. It's quite hard to explain... but just take a look at my first entry to get an idea of what I do. I like word art because, unlike many other types of art, it requires more effort from the brain than from the talent or paint. While it's very plain, it's something you have to look at twice, and it brings a half smile to your face when you see the simple complexity of it.
